Development of a habitat network for the Violet Copper
The presentations will focus on the occurrence of Lycaena helle in different regions of Europe as well as perspectives of butterfly conservation against the background of climate change. Two excursions will lead to typical habitats of the Violet Copper in the Northern Eifel.
The event will take place at the Aukloster in Monschau (Städteregion Aachen) (Austraße 7, 52156 Monschau), virtual participation is possible (hybrid event). The presentations will be simultaneously translated (German-English) by an interpreter.

How to get to the Aukloster by car
The ‘Aukloster’ multi-storey car park can be reached via Schleidener Straße and is located in the immediate vicinity of the Aukloster. Parking costs €7 for the whole day.
Travelling by public transport
The Aukloster can be reached by public transport via the AVV bus stop ‘Monschau-Altstadt’. From there, the Aukloster is just over 500 metres away. There are good bus connections from the direction of Aachen (e.g. Aachen-Hauptbahnhof to Monschau-Altstadt, 1 hour travelling time).
