Exchange of expertise with the authorities

Last Thursday, an exchange of information took place at the Biological Station StädteRegion Aachen. The employees of the two LIFE projects “Amphibienverbund” and “Patches & Corridors” welcomed the responsible employees of the Lower Nature Conservation Authority, the Department 51 of the Cologne District Government and the Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Transport NRW.

The aims and successes of both projects were explained in short presentations, but also by visiting selected sites in the field. Specific difficulties and obstacles were discussed and general aspects of project funding at the Biological Station were discussed.

Participants were: Björn Scholz-Starke, Bettina Krebs, Bernhard Theißen, Mechthild Schuppener, Heike Moldrickx, Ina Holz, Jonas Theegarten, Andrea Petermann, Iris Heinrichs, Marco Schlaeger, Christine Thul, Gerd Brietzke and Georg Keggenhoff.
